An idyllic path, surrounded by mighty beech trees with incised hearts from past times, leads to the Husareneck headland. It delimits the Krimnicksee from the Staabe and has the following legend: its name goes back to the Napoleonic campaigns in 1813. According to legend, a Prussian hussar could save his life here. The said hussar ambushed the French cavalry. When he was discovered and persecuted, he galloped to the peninsula on his horse and swam to the far bank. So he escaped his pursuers.

Where Krimnicksee, Krüpelsee and Staabe meet, the legendary "Husareneck" is about 50 meters away.

Fantastically beautiful and wonderfully empty, at least perfect in the early morning 😊
