Scottish Highland Garden
Dundee in Scotland and Würzburg in Franconia have been closely twinned since 1962. As a sign of this bond, a Scottish garden was created on the grounds of the State Garden Show. Dundee is located in the Tayside region in one of Scotland's most important agricultural regions. In addition to barley, oats and seed potatoes, various berries are grown on large areas. Cattle breeding is also practiced in this region. With this garden, the Scottish guests wanted to bring their homeland closer to the people of Würzburg. Meadows full of flowers, valleys, pastoralism, water and berries therefore also characterize this garden.
