The Theler column is not far from the market. This is said to have been donated in 1331 by Conrad von Theler, landlord of Höckendorf and at that time one of the richest mountain lords in Saxony, who wanted to make atonement for a manslaughter that he is said to have committed against the pastor of Höckendorf.
