U-Bahn Intersection – Gleisdreieck was built in 1901 as a triangular junction for Berlin’s first U-Bahn lines. After an accident involving several deaths, Gleisdreieck was rebuilt in 1913 as a multilevel interchange station. This also made the U-Bahn run more efficiently. Since then, passengers have been able to enter, exit, and change trains at this station.
