The life-size personification of “Schorsch” stands on a pillar. He came from a commentary in the Franconian Volksblatt and shows himself with the characteristic crushed hat and a tobacco pipe in his hand. In his newspaper articles he undertook critical walks through the city and reported on human and official inadequacies. He is shown here as an "eavesdropper". He turns his huge ear to City Hall, always eager to catch the latest information and gossip.
