A nice bike tour with a dog. Unfortunately, all quarry ponds are fenced. There are probably reasons to shut off lakes that were created by someone who mined the raw material sand and gravel. Nevertheless, I think it's a shame that you can't get anywhere near the water.

You don't expect something so beautiful near Frankfurt. The lake is really beautiful. Unfortunately there are prohibition signs everywhere. Dogs must be kept on a lead. The paths around the lake are not suitable for cycling. However, there are good bike paths nearby.
