There's a bench at the very front, and you have a great view. But the water is shallower here, and the bottom is unpleasantly muddy.
Raistinger Weiher does offer a very long lawn, plenty of sun, and, if you prefer, shady spots. Parking is no problem at all, and you can quickly walk there from the train station or the church.
