Hiking

No designated hiking trail. The Dammweg leads as a dead end into the bird sanctuary and ends near the mouth of the Ammer. There are no special views or access to the lake here. Under no circumstances may the nature reserve be entered off the beaten track. Day trippers are better off taking the Ammer trails to the south (Weilheim/Raisting) or the lakeside trails on the eastern and western shores of the Ammersee.
