The observation tower was introduced as a building style in English landscape gardens in 1719 and placed on top of a hill. The monopteros in Dießen has an octagonal floor plan with a copper roof, topped with a Swiss pine cone.
Concerts are held here every Sunday in May and September.
The Friends' Association is very grateful for a donation of €30,000 from the Sparkasse in the very first year of its establishment. It is also grateful for the support of volunteers and the preservation of historical monuments.
