The Piazza del Duomo in Catania is the main square of the city. In it flow three streets, the Via Etnea, the historic axis, the Via Giuseppe Garibaldi and the Via Vittorio Emanuele II, which crosses them from east to west. On the east side of the square stands the Duomo, dedicated to the patron saint of the city and celebrated on the 5th of February.
