What is much more interesting in this case is that this was the first Dennert fir ever. It was installed here in 1949 by the Upper Harz History and Museum Association.
These boards in the shape of a tree were named after the Oberbergrat Herbert Dennert; he was, so to speak, the inventor of these informative signs that are so typical of mining monuments in the Harz today.
