The Aula Academica was inaugurated in 1927 according to plans by the government architect Leopold Rother. In terms of its symmetry and spatial design, the building corresponds more to a classicist building. The interior design of the dome hall, on the other hand, was carried out in an expressionistic form and color language, which demonstrates its proximity to Bauhaus themes of the time. As part of the extensive renovation, the surfaces and colors were restored in accordance with listed buildings.
