This Jewish cemetery "was occupied from about 1830 to 1936." The last two tombstones of Johannette Herz and Babette Steinberger date from 1936 (and are at the back of the fence).
Flonheim had a synagogue from 1786 until the time of National Socialism. It was severely desecrated in 1936 - and after the war it was sold to private individuals and demolished.

The Jewish cemetery is south of Flonheim in the middle of vineyards. The Jewish cemetery was probably opened around 1830 to replace the inner-city burial ground on Backhausgasse. It has a quarry stone wall on two sides, in the east a gate with brick pillars and wrought iron wings. Wikipedia
