East of the Luderbach, near the city limits of Neu-Isenburg and near the Kesselbruchweiher, there is the "Schillerruhe": On their escape from Stuttgart into the free Frankfurt Friedrich Schiller, who was pursued because of the quarrels about his inflammatory drama "The robbers" and accompanying Andreas Streicher took a break at this point, because Schiller could not go on exhausted. Schleicher reports this in his memoir book "Schiller's flight from Stuttgart and stay in Mannheim" (1836). A memorial stone commemorates the two refugees since 1860. The 1959 renewed stone bears the inscription: "Schiller with strings on the run in 1782".
