Behind the new Aischbrücke hides the Alte Aischbrücke with St. Nepomuk in the middle. The Old Aisch Bridge dates back to the 14th century and was saved from demolition in April 1945 - after all, it is guarded by Saint Nepomuk.

The old sandstone bridge stands on the south side of the city of Höchstadt and leads across the Aisch. Built in the 14th century. at the point of a ford, the first documentary mention was made in 1391. A vaulted sandstone bridge with seven round arches, massive side balustrades and drainage openings. The bridge is 110 m long, the width of the road is about 2.80 m to 3.50 m - the width of the bridge was designed for a team of oxen.
