In 1930 Trelde Næs was bought by Ane Ryholt (1883-1968).
Ane Ryholt was a special personality who took great care of her private life and closed Trelde Næs to the public. It is said that she was able to chase away unauthorized persons - and occasionally with a hunting rifle in hand. Other sources describe her as a kind lady as long as her privacy is respected. Ane Ryholt ran a number of successful restaurant businesses in Copenhagen and used Trelde Næs as a summer residence.
From 1955 she moved permanently to Trelde Næs, where she lived alone for the rest of her life. She had sold Trelde Næs a few years ago, but made the sale conditional on her being allowed to stay until her death. The following year, a bust of Ane Ryholt was placed on the site and her urn was buried under it. Trelde Næs has been owned by the municipality of Fredericia since 1966.
