Great area to explore and just enjoy. Beautiful scenery, calm and quiet. Would recommend to access from rest stop by the road bridge and not from the quarry, as there is a quite steep hill to negotiate. Would recommend for picnic, mindfulness and quiet reflection 😊
If coming from the quarry, loosely follow the red route signs.

A new bridge was opened a few days ago across Bredstenvej to the area called Ny Rosborg. A new housing development has started here, in what will become a new neighbourhood of Vejle, so the bridge will serve as a link to Kongens Kær and Knapperup Lake.

A short walk out along the lake in fabulous sunshine. The part of the path on the yellow route is not well maintained. I would avoid it and stick to the dirt road during tick season. Or at least wear long trousers with socks over the ankles.
