A very nice tour and especially recommended in winter with snowshoes. After fresh snow, if there are no traces, finding a tour in the dense forest can be a bit difficult and naturally the first part through the forest is rather shady, then a very promising and sunny tour.

My route suggestion: Wildhaus - wild and romantic Flürentobel - Alp Tesel - P1442 m where both paths merge - Glumenhütte - Gulmen - Glumenhütte P1442 m - Langenboden - Vorder Baholz - Bodenweidli - Wildhaus

On the ascent, the path leads through the beautiful, wild and romantic Flürentobel, then you take the Teselalp to get to point P1442 m. Apart from a few passages, the incline is mostly moderate. You can also find flat passages again and again. Of course, the ascent can be shortened with the Gamplütbahn: You hardly save time, but at least 250 meters of altitude are eliminated.

The landscape of the entire ascent on the Glumen is extremely varied. The wildly romantic Flürentobel is followed by a longer passage through romantic coniferous forests. From the height of the Gulmenhütte, the forest slowly becomes thinner and leg pines gain the upper hand. The Churfirsten in the back, the Rhine valley on the right, Wildhuser Schafberg, Moor and Girenspitz on the left - this is how it goes over the long ridge of the Gulmen through the endless, open forest of Legföhren.

On the Gulmen (1999m) you can enjoy a wonderful panorama. Intimate glimpses of the southern flanks / walls of Schafberg, Moor, Girenspitz and Altmann and rewarding views of Churfirsten, Alvier Group and Obertoggenburg open up.

The descent leads on the same path over the Gulmenhütte to point 1442 m, then it goes on the left on a beautiful path to Langenboden and Vorder Baholz, where beautiful views of the Churfirsten and the impressive Wildhuser Schafberg are given over and over again.

One of my favorite places with a view of the Rhine Valley and now and then the sea of fog in the Rhine Valley
