    A Mennonite-Amish memorial site.
The Mennonites emerge from the Anabaptist movement, despite oppression
survived in the 16th and 17th centuries. Today they are as an evangelical free church
Part of the ecumenical movement. Mennonites baptize on the personal
Confession of faith (adult baptism). The Amish originated in the
1690s as a new direction among the Mennonites

A very impressive old cemetery of the (Amish) Mennonites, where graves are still beautifully cared for today. In front of it is a bench from which you can enjoy the special atmosphere here and the beautiful view of the wide meadows.

Interesting finding. I wasn't even aware that there were Amish in Germany too. Mennonite communities can still be found here and there in Bavaria. Amish, on the other hand, no longer exist in this country. You emigrated to America a good 100 years ago. The determined pacifists and conscientious objectors could not live in a state with general conscription.
