This bronze sculpture is a copy of a sculpture designed in 1834 for the Charlottenburg Palace Gardens on behalf of Frieder Wilhelm III, but which is no longer included today. Boy with Swan won an award at the London World Exhibition in 1851 and became very popular as a result, so that a number of copies were made. Examples can be found today in the Sanssouci Palace Park, New York's Central Park, the Saxon Gardens in Warsaw, in Wroclaw and Minsk.
