The plum mountain is an artificially raised lookout hill.
Stone steps lead past the Duckstein grotto up to the viewing platform on which once stood a table. This was destroyed in the 1970s. Only the table is left.

Anyone who is in Destedt and visits the Botanical Garden can actually not avoid the Pflaumenberg. It is almost a must for the visitor.

Hiking

The grotto on the Pflaumenberg is made of Duckstein, a rock typical of the Elm. It is a sedimentary rock that is no longer used for construction today. The beer cellars in Königslutter used to be built in the Duckstein and gave the Duckstein beer its name.
