Stensbæk Plantation is more than just an ordinary West Jutland heather plantation. The unique landscape formations, untouched streams, large moors and wetlands offer many experiences. In 1864 Denmark lost a third of its territory because the country lost the Second Schleswig War to Prussia. So South Jutland became German and the new border was laid south of Kolding, along the Kongeå and south of Ribe. Grænsestien tells of the time from 1864 to reunification in 1920, when the northern part of South Jutland and Schleswig returned to Denmark after the defeat of Germany in the First World War.The border path follows the border from 1864 from the Wadden Sea and Vester Vedsted via Egebæk-Hviding, Høm, Stensbæk Plantage, Obbekær and Villebøl near Kongeåen. On the way we tell of the time when families were separated by the border, when gendarmes and customs officers kept an eye on border crossers and smugglers and Danish-minded southern Jews on the German side as soldiers in the First World War.www-stensbaekhojskole-dk.translate.goog/vandreture/?_x_tr_sl=da&_x_tr_tl=de&_x_tr_hl=de&_x_tr_pto=nui,sc
