The shelters are generally clean and, in case of doubt, hand brushes and shovels were available to sweep through. The only downside to these shelters is that you cannot sit up straight.
It can be advisable to reserve a shelter in advance, because this place is located directly on the Eurovelo 12 or Vestkustruten and is also popular with drivers. But with a bit of luck there will still be a place in the 4th shelter that cannot be reserved.
