I rode this very famous steep ramp for the first time during training in April 2024, and then again during the Eschborn-Frankfurt amateur race on May 1, 2024. It's really a case of grit your teeth and switching off your mind. Especially when you arrive here in the cycling race after about 93 kilometers and already have the Feldberg in your legs, you have to conserve your energy carefully. The ramp may not be long, but it is very steep. The worst part, however, is afterward, because then it's a few more kilometers uphill to the Königstein roundabout, which you can't forget at your pace. Only once you get there is it all downhill to the finish in Eschborn. :-) It was a fantastic experience for me, and for all road bike fans, riding this ramp is an absolute must.

Save energy! Arrived "up" it goes on for quite a long time uphill to Königstein.

A must on May 1st, whether as "everyone" or to cheer. Fantastic view of the Frankfurt skyline included.
