In ancient times, the area of today's press tree belonged to the Celtic kingdom of Noricum, after its incorporation into the Roman Empire to the province of Noricum and later to the province of Pannonia.
The so-called "Roman grave", points to traces of civilization from the time in which this part of the Vienna Woods was both a retreat for the original Celto-Illyrian population, as well as new settlement area for veteran Roman soldiers.
