The consecration of an older church building was documented in 1714. The pre-Reformation parish was rebuilt in 1786. The conversion and expansion of the church took place around 1730 according to a design by Josef Emanuel Fischer von Erlach. The church was renovated in 1856 and restored in 1976/1978. The urn of Archduke Albrecht II of Austria-Teschen, who died in Buenos Aires in 1955, is buried in the church.

Hiking

The baroque parish church of St. Joseph at the northern end of the village green was expanded around 1730 according to plans by Josef Emanuel Fischer von Erlach. A three-storey tower with a stone pyramid helmet adjoins the nave with a retracted semicircular choir. The splendid neo-baroque high altar and the side altars date from the second half of the 19th century.
