Nestled below Suilven's terraced northern flanks, the loch's appearance shifts from day to day, depending on the conditions. On a summers' day, it can be a glittering aquamarine pool. In winter the waters turn dark, hemmed in by mountain walls and low-lying cloud.

This is a majestic pool of water which, along with neighbouring Loch na Barrack, is nestled below Suilven's terraced northern flanks.

The loch's mood swings from day to day, markedly different depending on the conditions. On a warm summers' day, it is a glittering azure pool, perfect for an incredible wild swim. On a stormy winter's day, it’s a tossed cauldron of gun-metal grey, a claustrophobic setting hemmed in by mountain wall and low-lying clag.
