This section is off the official North Coast 500 route as the roads are too small to accommodate caravans and motorhomes, but is absolutely stunning for cycling, so make the most of these tiny C roads. This is an absolute highlight of the west coast that you'll miss if you stay on the driver's route.

One of the real highlights of the NC500. Worth the detour and the extra climbing. Some sections get up over 20%, which is worth knowing if you've a fully loaded bike.

        May 4, 2023

Instead of taking the NC500, cut across the Coigach Peninsula cycling alongside Loch Lurgainn and Loch Bad a' Ghaill on this stunning remote single track road.
