The Romanesque church of Ampleben was built around 1200. It has a checkered history. Initially under the patronage of von Uetzen, this was passed on to Duke Heinrich Julius in 1423, who passed it on to the respective castle owner as a ducal fiefdom ... everything can be read on the wooden plaque in front of this impressive church.

The village church in Ampleben is a listed Protestant church in late Romanesque style.
Similar to other churches in the area, an external staircase leads to a gallery inside the tower.
