In the hinterland of the northern shore of the Eibsee there are four small lakes that are connected to the main basin by underground hydraulics and therefore always have the same water level as the Eibsee. The Steingringpriel is the largest and deepest of the four small lakes. This section is part of the Grainau geological hiking trail.
