The Porte Saint-Denis is a monument in the form of a triumphal arch in Paris. The building was built by François Blondel in 1672 in the style of the Arch of Titus in honor of the French king Louis XIV and represents one of the most important monuments of representative art of the time dar. The arc of the Porte Saint-Denis served as a model for the much better known Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile, which was completed in 1836, as well as for 1909 completed in New York Manhattan Bridge.
