Bernhard Graf von der Schulenburg was born in Berlin on May 11, 1852 and acquired the Grünthal estate in the Mark Brandenburg in 1894, where he lived until his death in 1936. Among other things, he was President of the Chamber of Agriculture for the Province of Brandenburg, to which he belonged from 1915 to 1921. The Trampe estate, including the manor house built in 1657, belonged to the von der Schulenburg family from 1802 until the land reform in 1945. The hereditary burial of the Schulenburg family is in the cemetery in Trampe, while the burial place of Bernhard and Hedwig von der Schulenburg is here on the hill of the Breydin castle ruins near Trampe, although the Schulenburgs never had anything to do with Breydin Castle 🤔.
