A Bible garden with 24 beds was laid out in the years 2012 - 2016 on an area of approx. 1,700 m² in the Diakoniewerk Pilgerheim Weltersbach in Leichlingen. There, over 80 of the approximately 120 plants mentioned in the Bible are shown. There is a sign with the botanical and biblical reference to each plant. Among other things, anemones, chamomile, hyssop, lavender, wheat, barley, mustard, oregano, coriander and garlic are shown, as well as a mulberry tree, a cedar, a laurel tree, olive trees and a vine.

You can also see 23 artistic representations of various events from the Old and New Testament, such as the Creation, the 10 Commandments, the wedding at Cana, the disciples of Emmaus and much more.

The Bible Garden is open daily during daylight hours.
Admission is free. Guided tours for groups are possible after prior registration.
