If you want to strengthen yourself: In the restaurant on the Saarburg there is something to eat and drink.
The Saarburg, first mentioned in a document in 964 AD, now towers over the Saar and the city of Saarburg. It is considered one of the oldest hilltop castles in south-west Germany. Large parts of the enclosing walls and a residential tower of the castle are still preserved today. You can enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the Saar Valley from several viewing platforms and from the tower.
