This theater has been in the heart of Amsterdam since 1774: The City Theater, or the "Stadsschouwburg" as the locals call it, is immediately recognizable as the most striking building on Leidseplein. It is home to the "Toneelgroep Amsterdam" and after the merger in 2018 they will continue under the name Internationaal Theater Amsterdam.
