You can see a plaque announcing that Honoré de Balzac stayed in this residence and wrote a short story “Le Réquisitionnaire” there in 1836.
The entrance portal to the square, the facades and roofs and the main stairwell with the staircase and its wooden banister from the 17th century have been registered as historic monuments since August 2, 1990.
