If you want to go from Eberbach to Waldbrunn or even further, this is the asphalted route with the least traffic. It is also the shortest, but this comes at the expense of the gradient. Since there are hardly any cars, you can easily stop or (beware the ugly word) push your bike. About halfway there is also a game reserve with wild boars and red deer, which you can visit for free if you like. Definitely a better alternative to the busy country road.

I have been living and cycling in the small Odenwald for 30 years and didn't know this little road.
Great to ride, rough asphalt but suitable for racing bikes, for downhill riding only for gravel bikes.
I will be adding this route more often now, it's simply beautiful

The old road from Eberbach to Dielbach is a mostly car-free, recommended alternative to the busy L524 on the opposite side of the valley. In the lower area with a slightly steeper entry up to 10%, later with a moderate slope. The surface is a bit getting old, but in the driveway still quite sufficient. For the descent with the road bike but rather the highway is recommended.
