On the edge of the city center is one of the most spacious ensembles in the Free Imperial City of Ulm: the arsenal. The spacious inner courtyard was an important meeting place for the citizens. Hardly any pieces of the rich arsenal of weapons in the armory are left in Ulm, since most of them were captured by French troops in the course of the Napoleonic Wars.
