Kotzia Square is a square is located in central Athens.

The square has several similar characteristics of 19th century Neo-classical architecture, such as the nearby National Library, the National Bank of Greece and the Academy of Athens.

It is also only a minutes’ walk away from the meat and vegetable market of Monastiraki.

Large and beautiful square with some statues and archaeological excavation towards the back. The fountain is captivating at night with its colorful illumination and water show after dark. During the day it's occupied by flocks of fat pigeons
