Mine area and spoil heap of the former Altenberg mine. At the beginning of the heap is the stone with the cover plate of the shaft of the Altenberg pit. Further up is the excavation site of a medieval mining settlement on Altenberg. This was discovered in the early 1970s and researched by archaeologists and employees of the Bochum Mining Museum
