My wife and I were on Friday, 27.01.2017, on this beautiful, snowy path. Despite the considerable amounts of snow, we made good progress. However, we had significant advantages with spikes on the shoes, because the trampling tracks and also the paths were partially iced up. We have omitted variants no.1 and no.2 due to the weather. For this we stopped in the rest area at Kindelsberg with a delicious lentil stew a bit longer and had enough time for a tower climb.

The 618m high Kindelsberg has always been a defining home symbol for the population and since the 19th century a place where many singer and gymnastics festivals took place. The remains of a rampart probably date from the High Middle Ages. Built by the Sauerland Mountain Association, it was inaugurated in 1907 and has been the symbol of Kreuztal ever since. "Tower" and Kindelsberg rest area are popular destinations for excursions - from the viewing platform there are impressive distant views in good weather. Source: Flyer Kindelsbergpfad
