Route with my 7 year old son, the whole route is a starting point to talk about history and to make him understand how much effort was spent by the men of that time to create this walkway!

Legend has it that the Italian grenadiers, having exhausted all their ammunition and been pushed to the brink by the furious Austro-Hungarian attack, threw themselves into hand-to-hand combat, clinging to their enemies and dragging them down with them: an act of extreme and desperate sacrifice.
General Pennella, commander of the Sardinian Grenadiers Brigade, wrote: "It was already said that in the heat of the fierce battle, tangles of Austrians and grenadiers had been seen tumbling down the rocks overlooking the Astico!"
