Volksgarten Ponds and Clock Park, Düsseldorf

Lovely area for a jog on a sunday morning. Not too busy and loads of trails.

As early as 1895/96, the illusion of an ideal-typical landscape was created here on eleven hectares: elegant avenues, romantic ponds, dense bushes and wide meadows - who is surprised that, in view of this splendor, the south of Düsseldorf goes into its state-owned garden at the first ray of sunshine? Incidentally, its paths lead seamlessly into the younger areas of the city oasis, created in the course of the BUGA 1987: The garden sections "Before the dike" and "In the gardens" are also assigned to the south park and each have their own characteristic face with a petting zoo and mini golf course.

The Volksgarten is the oldest part of the Südpark. As in many city parks, the meadows are used for picnics, games or relaxation.
