The "Spider" is an important crossroads in the forests southwest of Gernrode. Here several regionally significant hiking routes meet. For example, you can descend from the "Spider" over the Anhaltiner Salstein in the cold valley, continue on the Heckenrosenweg to the Prussian tower or walk through the Hagental to Gernrode. But there is also the possibility to hike to the nearby New Pond or to the slightly further Viktorshöhe. If you do not want to make a choice, you have the opportunity to take a little break at the "Spider", to think carefully about the way forward.
