Besides the fact that the Hof te Dieren estate is a beautiful wooded area to walk in, it also has a rich history. The earliest mention dates from 838 and over the centuries the estate has been in different hands. This was also the case in the hands of the stadtholder and King William II of Orange, who converted the house on the estate into a royal hunting lodge. A garden was also created under the House of Orange. Today, part of the estate's land is used as a vineyard.
