The Black Heart, also called Black Lake on some maps, is a lake in the area of the municipality of Korswandt on the island of Usedom in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The body of water is located in the terminal moraine landscape between Wolgastsee and Zerninsee about 180 meters away from the German-Polish border.
The pear-shaped lake has an approximate area of 1.5 hectares with a north-south extension of 205 meters and a maximum width of 120 meters in a west-east direction. When the water level is high, it can drain through a normally dry ditch to the north to the border, where the old waterworks of the city of Swinoujscie is located. The lake is completely surrounded by forest.
