The historic three-sided art nouveau clock in Ahlbeck is located on the beach promenade between the pier and the dune road. The cast-iron monument was erected in 1911 on the pier bridge.

The Art Nouveau clock in the heart of Ahlbeck was donated by a woman from Berlin who was spending her vacation here. It was built in 1911 by the Rochlitz company and since then its wind direction indicator has adorned the square in front of the famous pier. Until its restoration in 1990, it had to be wound by hand every week. Today, the historic clock is an Ahlbeck attraction, a popular meeting place and a popular photo subject.
