The Kaiserbädersaal is part of the Maritim Hotel Kaiserhof in Heringsdorf - one of the most traditional Baltic Sea resorts of all.

In 1872 the Berlin Privy Councilor and banker Dr. Hugo Delbrück founded the "Aktiengesellschaft Ostseebad Heringsdorf" after he had acquired around 800 acres of forest, a few houses and the existing bathing establishment a year earlier. As a result, the Delbrück family built a number of buildings - the old pier, a family swimming pool with 200 changing rooms and the so-called "Bismarck-Warte", a 45 m high observation tower. A number of hotels were also built, including the Hotel "Atlantic" with three hundred beds. Under the leadership of the Delbrück family, Heringsdorf became a modern seaside resort; at that time it was referred to as the "world bathing resort". It was considered extremely chic to stay in Heringsdorf.
