Beautiful little church in half-timbered construction. Everywhere in town are blue bikes .... strange.

A few years ago Fam. Rothmann from Sophiental came up with the idea to set up a blue bicycle in her garden - as a reference to the Oder, so to speak. This thought was also taken up by other villagers with the aim of presenting as many blue wheels as possible on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the drainage of the Oderbruch.

The church, which was destroyed in 1945, was rebuilt thanks to many donations and the diligent hands of local crafts and consecrated in 2006.

Who explores the Oderbruch by bike, finds such a gem away from the cities.

The blue bicycles in the Sophientaler gardens symbolize the proximity to the Neisse river and found space in many gardens on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the foundation of the village in the course of the drainage of the Oderbruch. Great action by the Sophientaler 👍

Very nice building with the church bells under a free-standing wooden roof.
