The Alte Vikarie (house number 38) was built in 1805 as the home of the Seißenschmidt * family. From around 1890 the house was then a vicarage building, after 1963 it was used as a parish library. The building has been privately owned since 2005 and is now used again as a residential building.
* Caspar Anton Seißenschmidt (1763-1828) was the city councilor of Belecke from 1817-1828 and wrote the “Chronicle of the City of Belecke” in 1824.
